Crochet Face Mask | Free Pattern

With all that is going on in the world right now, I’ve seen a lot of people making and sharing their versions of crochet face masks. Stuck here at home with nothing much to do, I decided to create my own pattern as well with the yarn I have left. This crochet face mask pattern includes a filter compartment and comes in sizes for children 3-6 years old, kids 7-12 years old, teenagers, women, and men.

Some useful information I’ve heard about the utilization of face masks…

  • Toddlers 2 years old and below are advised against wearing masks.
  • To test the filter you are applying to a mask, try blowing out a candle. If you aren’t able to do so, it can offer some protection.

I am not a medical expert and just designed this to be able to share how we can make masks at home. This mask cannot compare to medical-grade masks and should be treated only as an outer layer. Filters can only do so much.
